this is probably your antivirus interfering with the update! see the most recent devlog post regarding antivirus issues. You might also need to redownload the game

I don't think I can really report it without more information on the issue unfortunately.  and I definitely can't report modded bugs, so if you're playing lifegen then I can't do much about it at all

Online version is pretty far behind the downloadable version unfortunately. So that's why there's not as many features

any chance you could join the discord to ask about this, or report the bug on github? I've not seen this before

unfortunately yeah, it does that :( it isn't a virus, Windows Defender just hates it

depends on your operating system

generally you download the game, extract it (if on Windows), add it to your Applications folder (if on Mac), and then open it

I think you can run it through the itch.io launcher but I don't remember how

Game files are in the folder you downloaded Clangen with, I believe (or accessed through right click > show package contents if you're on mac) 

Save files are in your data directory, accessed through the button in your game settings

Lots of people have asked for a mobile version, but there are not currently plans to make one. 

if your chromebook is stuck in 2020 and has covid then you likely have bigger problems than playing Clangen on it /j

did you download it? where are you at, and what OS is your computer on? 

Are you sure you moved your save files, and not your game files? Game files by themselves won't transfer your saves. 

the download buttons are green I believe

(screenshot on a Mac is command-shift-5 btw!)

It is a false flag; the file is safe and the game is open source- you can go through the code yourself if you want to.

Cruel Season does not have a set release date; neither does anything else. 

I don't know much about Lifegen. My guess would be that if your cat is leader you can do that sort of thing?

The web version is not really being maintained right now. The lead dev for web ver stepped away a while back and nobody's really taken their place yet. 

the green tab on the left side of a cat's history box will take you back to the editable notes.

It's basically the same thing, your computer is concerned that you're downloading an unsigned .exe file from the internet. 

You should be able to look for "more info" or "run anyway" to bypass it.
