this is probably bad rng, I don't really see why that would have broken

have cats gotten pregnant but then not had kits born? 

make sure you're opening the right file? the .exe often isn't at the top, it might be further down in the folder (assuming you're on Windows)

also check that you downloaded the right version? https://clangen.io/download will recommend a download for your computer if you aren't sure

Can y'all provide any more details? What OS are you on? What are you running into when trying to play the game? 

What issue exactly were you having with the newer version? and what OS is your computer on?

No, you should not need any paid programs to download the game. Most likely this is your computer trying to sell you something you don't need. If you can get past that you should be able to extract it.

There should be. You can try one of the linux downloads?

However, getting Chromebook Linux Clangen to work is not something I have much experience with, and I know it can be finicky to get working. I'd recommend joining the discord if you need help with it.

You could try the one linked on the actual itch.io page, if you haven't? 

I don't know of any reason you wouldn't be able to join the server, unless you're already banned, but I assume that's not the case.

Your cats are not gone; saves are stored separately from the game and will still be there when the game is working again.

You should be able to get the game on Chromebook, though personally I'm not very familiar with the process and I know it can be quite finicky.

make sure the game is in your applications folder and that your macOS version is 10.11 or higher?
also you can try right click opening the game (control click if you don't have a mouse)

we don't know. last I checked it was planned to be worked on once Expanded has all its features

the game devs are not taking suggestions at the moment, although this does sound like a kinda neat idea :)

try downloading from the clangen website, https://clangen.io/download

it'll recommend a download for your computer so you can be sure you're not getting the wrong version

Putting out a version before the latest update would not help in this scenario. The problem is Windows Defender and not on our end.

The update in question was not flagged so harshly for about a week after coming out and only began to have serious issues later. 

Right now there are so many people asking for tech support here that I can't go through them all properly and need to copy-paste responses.

Hm, this does ring a bell as something that happened to someone else as well, but it was a while ago and iirc no one could figure out why or how it happened.

And I wouldn't be too surprised if you spotted stuff for new biomes, there's been unused patrols for new camps in the code for ages
